Who writes this site
Pag-IBIG Fund Guide is written and maintained by Ricky, an independent site owner — see theAbout page for the full story. There's no editorial staff or newsroom behind this; it's a single-owner site, and this policy exists so that's never hidden or implied otherwise.
How content gets made
Research and drafting for guides on this site are done with the assistance of AI tools, directed and reviewed by the site owner — not published unedited or unverified. Where a guide states a specific figure (a rate, a ceiling, a term), that figure is checked against Pag-IBIG Fund's own published circulars or official channels where possible, or against multiple independent, reputable sources where a primary circular isn't directly available. Every guide's Sources section reflects what was actually checked, and includes the specific HDMF Circular number where the claim traces to one.
This site is upfront about disclosing AI assistance in content production because the alternative — implying every word was manually researched and typed by a human research team — would be a bigger, more misleading claim than the tools actually used to help produce it.
What "illustrative" means on this site
Every planner and calculator explicitly labels its output as an estimate, not an official Pag-IBIG figure. Where a specific number hasn't yet been verified against a primary circular — and some genuinely haven't, which this site says plainly rather than hiding — the relevant guide or calculator says so, rather than presenting a secondary-sourced figure with false confidence.
Two dates, tracked separately, on purpose
Every guide shows both an Updated date (when the text last changed) and aRates reviewed date (when the numbers in it were last checked against current sources, even if nothing changed). These aren't the same thing — a guide's rates can be re-verified and confirmed still accurate without the prose itself changing at all, and collapsing the two into one date would lose that distinction. For financial content specifically, knowing when something was last *checked*, not just last *edited*, matters.
Corrections
Mistakes happen, especially with rates and rules that Pag-IBIG can change by circular at any time. See the Correction Policy for how errors get reported, reviewed, and fixed.
Independence
This site is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or paid by the Home Development Mutual Fund (Pag-IBIG Fund) or any Philippine government agency. It doesn't accept payment in exchange for favorable coverage of any lender, developer, or financial product. If that ever changes for any specific content, it will be disclosed plainly on the page in question — not buried in a footer.
Honest gaps over false completeness
Where this site doesn't yet have a planner, calculator, or guide for something, it says "Coming soon" rather than hiding the gap or filling it with thin, low-value content just to have a page. This is a deliberate choice, carried through consistently across the site, because a visible gap is more trustworthy than a page that exists only to exist.
