About Pag-IBIG Fund Guide
Why this site exists, and who's behind it
Where this started
I'm Ricky — I run a small digital printing business, and for most of my working life, "Pag-IBIG" was just a line on my payslip I never really looked at. I assumed it was some kind of mandatory deduction and left it there.
It wasn't until I was in my mid-30s that I actually sat down and studied what Pag-IBIG Fund does — the Regular Savings, MP2, the housing loan program, all of it. What I found was a program with real, usable benefits that I'd been paying into without understanding for years. That gap — between what Pag-IBIG actually offers and how little most members are told about it in a clear, practical way — is the reason this site exists.
Pag-IBIG Fund Guide is what I wish someone had handed me at 18, or even at 25: a straight explanation of how each program works, real numbers instead of just definitions, and honest answers to the questions people are often too busy — or too shy — to ask.
What this site tries to do differently
- Planners, not just calculators. Every tool here pairs a number with context — a health score, what it means, and a next step — instead of leaving you to interpret a raw figure on your own.
- Transparent math. The formulas and assumptions behind every planner are documented, not hidden behind a black box.
- Built for how people actually ask. Real questions from real members — the ones people ask a coworker quietly, not the ones in an official FAQ.
What "independent" means here
Pag-IBIG Fund Guide is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or connected to the Home Development Mutual Fund (Pag-IBIG Fund), pagibigfund.gov.ph, or any Philippine government agency. It doesn't process applications, loans, or withdrawals — for anything official, usepagibigfund.gov.ph or Virtual Pag-IBIG directly.
See the Disclaimer for the full detail on what the planners and guides on this site are — and aren't — meant to be used for, and the Editorial Policy for how content here actually gets researched and kept current.
